How to Import and Export X-Rays



Summary:

If you do not have x-ray imaging software that can be bridged with ABELDent, or if it is not working, you can

  • import the x-ray image into ABELDent.   
  • export the x-ray out of ABELDent  to your hard drive or a removable media device.

 

To Import an X-Ray Image:

1. Open the patient’s record.

2. Click the Imaging tab.

3. Select the Import icon.


    The Select Images To Import window appears.

4. Navigate to and select the image you wish to import.

    Selected images must be in .dib, tif, .bmp, or .jpeg format.

5. Click the Open button. 

    The image appears in the selected cell.

Exporting:

You can export images from the Imaging tab to a file on your hard drive or network drive.

To Export an Image:

1. Open the patient’s record.

2. Click the Imaging tab.

3. On the Imaging tab, right-click and choose Export Images.

The Browse for Folder dialog will appear.

4. Navigate to and locate the folder to which you want to import the image. If the folder is not available, click Make New Folder to create a new one.

5. Click OK.

The image will be copied to the folder you selected.
