How to Inactivate a Provider 



Summary:

Although you cannot delete a provider, you can inactivate them. When you inactivate a provider, their records will still be available to you when printing reports, searching for treatment administered by a provider, making billing adjustments etc., but will not be available for:

  • Adding new appointments
  • Adding new contacts
  • Billing



Steps:

1. Open File > Update > Provider > Information.

2. Select a Provider from the list.

3. Click the Inactivate button and the following message appears

 

4. Read the message to understand the implications associated with inactivating a Provider.

5. Click Yes to inactivate the provider.

6. Notice at the top of the Provider File window that Inactive is now shown in red.
