How to Remove a Tooth Condition

Summary:

You can remove the painted representation on a tooth for the following conditions:

  • Watch
  • Lesion
  • Impacted
  • Drifted
  • Tipped
  • Incipient Decay
  • Rotated
  • Sealant, Veneer, Contact open/loose, and Abrasion.

This procedure does not remove the history of the patient having had the condition. To do that, you must delete the condition.

Steps:

1. Right-click on the tooth and select the Properties option.

The Tooth Properties window will appear.

2. Click on the Conditions tab.
3. Click on the condition you want to remove.
4. Click the Remove Condition button.

A message appears, stating "Are you sure you want to remove the selected condition?

5. Click Yes.
6. Exit the Tooth Properties dialog.

Notice that the painted representation of the condition has been removed from the Odontogram. The condition is not removed from the Tooth Properties dialog, however, in case you want to restore it later.
