How Do I Run a Production Report for a Provider or Practice? 



Summary:

This report shows all the procedures performed by each provider for the current accounting date.  This report is intended to be used as an analysis report by your practice to detail how often providers perform specific procedures and the approximate dollar value generated. Note that IMPORTANT: Never attempt to compare or balance a Production report which shows the gross amount billed for treatment AGAINST Financial reports which show the net amount after adjustments and payments were made.


Steps:

1. Click Reports > Financial > Production > Production

The Production Report dialog appears.

2. Type a specific date or range of dates in the From and To fields.

3. In the For Providers field, do one of the following:

  • Leave the default at ?-Overall Practice to obtain a combined summary for all service providers in your office

or

  • Type the Provider ID of the service provider whose production you want to view in the report. Several providers can be entered on this line by separating each character ID with a comma, for example: A,B,C,D.

4. In the For Practices, do one of the following:

  • Leave the default at ?-Overall Practice to obtain a combined summary for all responsible providers in your office.

or

  • Type the practice ID of the responsible provider (s) you want to include in the report.  Several providers can be entered on this line by separating each character ID with a comma, for example: A,B,C,D.

5. Click the Overall Summary? check box to print an extra report that calculates the overall production totals for the practice.

6. Click OK.

7. Click the Preview button if you wish to preview the report on screen, or click the Print button to print the report.

8. Notice that the production totals for each Provider or Practice are shown on a separate page.

  • To scroll through the report, click the Next Page button.
  • To return to a previous page, click the Last Page button.
  • To send the report to the printer, click the Print button.

9. Click Close to exit the report.
