Appointment Rebooking Notice 



Summary:

For those patients that cancelled or missed their appointments ABELDent will automatically create a contact and contact note on their Appts Tab, as follows:

  • A cancelled appointment that is made with "sufficient" notice will generate a Rebook Wth. contact.
  • A cancelled appointment made with "insufficient notice" will generate a Rebook W/O. contact.
  • A missed appointment (that is, cancellation "without any notice") will generate a MissedAppt contact.

The system differentiates between these three types of cancellations because it may affect the way you deal with this patient in the future.
NOTE: ABELDent will create the contact seven calendar days after the date of the cancelled or missed appointment. This is the system default, but it can be modified to suit the needs of your dental practice. See the Days for Rebooking field in System Setup.
