How Do I Resubmit an EDI Claim?

Summary:

Resubmitting a claim electronically to the insurance company.


Steps:

Open the patient's Financial tab.

1. Right-click on the financial item you wish to submit.
2. Select Receipt/ Insurance Form Printing.
3. Enter the reason for resubmitting the claim.
4. Select EDI Transmission of Claim or Put Through EDI and Print Receipt from the menu.
5. Click the OK.

• Retracting an EDI Claim

1. Select Index from the Help menu and click the Index tab.
2. In the blank field, enter the first word of the Related Help Topic.
3. Click the Down arrow until you find the topic.
4. Select the topic.
5. Click Display to open the topic.
6. To print a copy for future reference, click the print button at the top of the Help window.
