Envelope Printing – Patient Envelopes - Letter Manager



Summary:

These instructions detail setting up a Patient Envelope in Letter Manager where ABELDent has been setup to integrate with Microsoft Word.
These instructions are designed specifically for Microsoft Word versions 2002 or 2003.



Steps:

  1. ​​Open ABELDent
  2. Click on File, then Open Letter Manager
  3. Click on File, then New
  4. The New Letter window opens
  5. In the Name field enter ENVELOPEpatient
  6. In the Description field enter Envelope for Patient
  7. Click OK
  8. A blank Microsoft Word template opens called ENVELOPEpatient.rtf
  9. Click on File then Page Setup
  10. The Page Setup window displays
  11. Select the Margins tab
  12. Set the Margins for Top, Bottom, Left and Right to 0.25"
  13. Select Landscape Orientation
  14. Select the Paper tab
  15. At Paper Size, select Envelope #10 from the drop down list
  16. Click OK
  17. The Microsoft Word template now presents an envelope format
  18. Set the desired Font style and Font size from the formatting toolbar
  19. Type the office name and address in the upper left corner if required
  20. Enter the following merge keywords for patient name and address, exactly as shown, into the appropriate area on the envelope:

{FULLNAME}
{PATADDRLINE1}
{PATADDRLINE2}
{PATADDRLINE3}

  1. Click File then Save
  2. Click File then Exit 
  3. To print a Patient envelope:
  4.  From the patients file, click the Merge button
  5. Select the file ENVELOPEpatient.rtf
  6. Click the yellow Merge with Patient icon
  7. Click File then Print
