Envelope Printing – Patient Envelopes - Letter Manager
Summary:
These instructions detail setting up a Patient Envelope in Letter Manager where ABELDent has been setup to integrate with Microsoft Word.
These instructions are designed specifically for Microsoft Word versions 2002 or 2003.
Steps:
- Open ABELDent
- Click on File, then Open Letter Manager
- Click on File, then New
- The New Letter window opens
- In the Name field enter ENVELOPEpatient
- In the Description field enter Envelope for Patient
- Click OK
- A blank Microsoft Word template opens called ENVELOPEpatient.rtf
- Click on File then Page Setup
- The Page Setup window displays
- Select the Margins tab
- Set the Margins for Top, Bottom, Left and Right to 0.25"
- Select Landscape Orientation
- Select the Paper tab
- At Paper Size, select Envelope #10 from the drop down list
- Click OK
- The Microsoft Word template now presents an envelope format
- Set the desired Font style and Font size from the formatting toolbar
- Type the office name and address in the upper left corner if required
- Enter the following merge keywords for patient name and address, exactly as shown, into the appropriate area on the envelope:
{FULLNAME}
{PATADDRLINE1}
{PATADDRLINE2}
{PATADDRLINE3}
- Click File then Save
- Click File then Exit
- To print a Patient envelope:
- From the patients file, click the Merge button
- Select the file ENVELOPEpatient.rtf
- Click the yellow Merge with Patient icon
- Click File then Print
