Sending Predetermination and Treatment Plans Electronically
Summary:
If you are running ABELDent SQL v12.10 or later you can choose which Predetermination and Treatment Plans you want to send electronically from those you have created. Previous versions require you to send all of the predetermination and treatment plans you’ve created.
Steps:
1. Open the patient record.
2. Click the Treatment Planning icon on the toolbar.
The Print/Submit Treatment Plans menu appears
3. Double-click the Pre-Treatment Estimate Menu option.
4. Double-click the Pre-Treatment Estimate (Primary) option. (If the patient has secondary insurance and you want to print a predetermination form for a secondary insurer, double-click Pre-Treatment Estimate (Secondary). This option only appears if the patient has secondary insurance recorded on their Insurance tab.
The Select Planned Treatments to Print/Submit dialog appears.
Notice that all plans and procedures are automatically selected by default.
5. To deselect a plan and ALL procedures in the plan, click the check box beside the Plan Name. All procedures will be automatically deselected.
6. To manually deselect one or more procedures in a plan, click the Print/Submit check box beside each procedure you want to include. Notice that the Plan Name is automatically checked.
7. To reselect a plan or procedure, click the box to insert a check mark.
8. Click OK.
The Insurance Form Printing dialog appears.
9. Select Primary, Secondary etc, (if applicalbe). Click OK to print the predetermination form, or Preview to view the form prior to printing.
Either the Standard Pre-Treatment Form, or Standard Dental Claim form appears displaying the procedure code and the words "For Predetermination Only".
In addition:
- ABELDent will also create a "Pred. Sent" Contact as the result of printing the predetermination form.
- The predetermination letter can be used as a cover letter for the predetermination form.
- Close the two open menu boxes by clicking Cancel
