How to Add and Apply a Discount



Summary:

You can add a discount directly from the Add Treatment window and apply it to a procedure. Each discount you add is saved and available for selecting from the Add Treatment window when needed. Discounts can also be edited and deleted.


Steps:

Add a Discount:
1. From the Chart tab, click the   icon to display the Add Treatment window.
2. Add a procedure, or select an existing one from the Treatment on Current Date table.
3. Click the Discount button to display the Discount Entries dialog.
4. Click Add.
5. Type  a Description and the Amount of the discount as a percentage.
6. Click Save.

The discount is added to the list.

Apply a Discount:

1. Click on a procedure in the Treatment on Current Date table.
2. Click the Discount button.
3. Select the discount you want to apply from the list and then click the Apply Discount button.
4. The discount is applied to the Charge amount and to the Pat Pays amount. It also displays as a note attached to the financial record.

Edit or Delete a Discount:

1. To edit, click the Edit button, make your changes and then click Save.
2. To delete, click the Delete button
