More Information:

Fee Guides are available as a free download to ABELDent customers who subscribe to an active Software Maintenance Agreement.

To gain access to the available Fee Guides, you may login to ABELDent's website at www.abeldent.com and click on the MyABEL button on the top right side of the window.  You must first register for MyABEL to obtain a login/password, then you will be able to login and access all the tools and resources, including the downloadable Fee Guides in this website.

Once logged into the MyABEL Website:

  • Click on Dental
  • Click on Dental Fee Guide Updates
  • Click on your province
  • You will see all the available Fee Guides for your Province
There are 2 buttons available per Fee Guide:
  1. Download -> click this button to download the executable file which you may run now or save and run later to install a specific fee guide
  2. Documentation -> click this button to view the Fee Guide Installation Instructions that correspond to the Fee Guide selected

Special Considerations:
  • If installing the GP Fee Guide:
    • for certain provinces, you will be required to enter a code/password to install the fee guide, as outlined in the Fee Guide Installation Instructions
    • this will update the Master Fee Schedule in your ABELDent program, found at File/Update/Master Fee Schedule
  • If installing a Special Fee Guide (ie. MCSS or CINOT ):
    • this will create a Special Schedule with it's corresponding acronym (ie. MCSS or CINOT) in the Special Fee Schedule Update in ABELDent, found at File/Update/Special Fee Schedule
    • to put the Special Schedule into effect, you must add the Special Schedule name/acronym to the Insurance Plan File Update window for the particular insurance plan (refer to "Setting Up an Insurance Plan to use a Special Fee Schedule" in ABELDent Help)
  • If you have both a GP and Specialist(s) working in your practice:
    • if you have manually or otherwise updated the Master Fee Schedule to custom fees, prior to installing the Specialist Fee Guide, you should make a copy of your Master Fee Schedule using the Change Fees Utility (refer to "Increase Fees in Master Fee Schedule" in ABELDent Help)
    • for certain provinces, you will be required to enter a code/password to install the Specialist fee guide, as outlined in the Fee Guide Installation Instructions
    • install the Specialist Fee Guide(s) (ie. Periodontist fee guide)
    • this will update the Master Fee Schedule
    • this will also create a Special Schedule with it's corresponding acronym (ie. 14PE for 2014 Periodontist fee guide)
    • you must then install the current year's GP Fee guide to restore the GP fees in the Master Fee Schedule in ABELDent (or restore the copy of your Master Fee Schedule made with the Change Fees Utility)
    • to put the Specialist Fee Guide into effect, you must add the Special Fee Guide name/acronym to the Provider File Update of the Specialist, found at File/Update/Provider/Information (refer to "Provider File Update Dialog Box - Add or Edit a Provider" in ABELDent Help)
  • ONTARIO CUSTOMERS:  effective 2013, as requested by the ODA, the ODA Fee Guide distributed by ABEL includes the lower range of fees.  Please refer to "2013 Ontario Fee Guide Information – Codes with Suggested Fee with Low-High Range" in the Dental Fee Guide Updates section of the MyABEL website for more information.
