How to Allocate a Prepayment 


Summary:

ABELDent's prepayment option allows you to enter in a prepayment that you’ve received from a patient and then allocate it to one or more specific procedures at a later date.

Steps:​​​​

  1. Click the    icon on the toolbar.
            The Enter Payment window appears.
  1. Click the Prepay radio button.  If the account has a zero balance, the Prepay radio button is automatically selected.
  2. Type the Payment Amount and select the Paid By method. Additional fields are displayed.
 
  1. Select the Practice, and, if you like, type the reason for the prepayment in the Description field.
  2. Click OK.

To postdate the prepayment, select a future date in the Post Date field, and enter the Number of payments (if more than one).
