Cannot Change the Accounting Date
Summary:
In order to change the accounting date in ABELDent, the Cash Summary or Cash Summary All Practices must be previewed or printed
Steps:
Click on Reports=>Day End=>Cash Summary. This report will print an overall report (practice "?") for the 'total' of all your practices.
If you wish to see individual day end reports for each individual practice that is tracking receivables, then choose Reports=>Day End=>Cash Summary All Practices. Enter today's date range (i.e.: From: 09Jan00 To: 09Jan00). This report will then print individual reports for each practice (each doctor, hygiene pool etc) plus one for overall practice (the sum of all your practices).
You have the option of viewing these reports on screen (preview), or printing them out. If you click preview, you must click 'next page' to 'turn' the page until you get to the end.
Other Suggested Day End Reports:
Cash Receipts This report can be printed for a chosen date. You must specify the billing practice you wish to print. "?" is the default practice, then select show detail or consolidate. Then click OK.
Modified Transactions Report This report only prints modified transactions for the current accounting date, and lists any modifications or deletions that were made to patient accounts/billings.
Insurance Transactions Report Lists the insurance postings by patient account for a specified range of insurance companies and/or dates.
Generate/Check Recall Contacts These procedures ensure that ABELDent has created recall (rc) type contacts for all patients on whom you performed recall procedure codes. You will ensure that no one has slipped through the cracks.
Missed Appointments Shows all patients that had appointments but had nothing billed on their account.
Production Reports You may use production reports to analyze your practice as it shows how often providers perform specific procedures (don't attempt to compare production reports to financial reports, they will NOT balance). Production reports do not take into consideration what happened to the billing after it was entered, i.e.: NSF cheques, write-offs etc.
